Patch notes

Character auras have been retired

Character auras are now disabled. The Aura option has been removed from the outfit window, aura offers no longer appear in the shop, and saved aura selections have been cleared.

Purchased aura records remain preserved. No unrelated cosmetics, equipment, characters or account data were removed.

This update requires client 1.0.59-beta. Close the game normally and reopen the official Azurefall launcher to download the update before reconnecting.

Client notice

Launcher 1.2.3 standalone patcher release

Launcher 1.2.3 removes the Windows installation-wizard experience. It is one direct-open patcher executable with the familiar Install, Update, Repair and Play flow, and it keeps using your existing Azurefall game files and settings.

The release passed Azurefall's updater, filesystem, TLS, interface and direct-execution checks. Microsoft Defender found no threats in the final standalone patcher during local release validation.

Client notice

Launcher 1.2.1 compatibility fix

The first download link continued to provide launcher 1.2.0 after client 1.0.53-beta raised the signed minimum to launcher 1.2.1. This caused the generic Unable to continue screen even after downloading the launcher again.

The compatible launcher and optional installer are now published, their public HTTPS files match the verified release hashes, and the Play page points to launcher 1.2.1.

Patch notes

Hydra expansion, Crafting Pouch and client update

Read it your way

Port Hope's Hydra hunt is larger and faster, the Crafting Pouch is live, vocation damage has been adjusted and client 1.0.53-beta now supports multiple instances.

Open a chapter for its player-facing changes. This page is deliberately concise rather than a full technical changelog.
Port Hope Hydras20 Hydras · 60-second respawns
  • The Port Hope Hydra hunt now includes two connected lower hunting floors with northern and southern access routes.
  • Nine Hydras were added, bringing the Port Hope region to 20 Hydra spawns.
  • All 20 Port Hope Hydras now use the intended 60-second respawn timer instead of 600 seconds.
Crafting PouchNew shop utility
  • The new Crafting Pouch is available from the in-game shop for 25 Support Points.
  • When carried, it automatically collects the supported crafting materials from your monster loot and from materials moved into your carried inventory.
  • The pouch follows normal container space and character carrying-capacity rules.
Combat balanceMage and Knight tuning
  • Sudden Death rune damage has been reduced by approximately 10%.
  • Knight and Elite Knight melee damage has been increased by approximately 15%.
  • The revised SD producer passed Azurefall's native rarity and combat-security validation before release.
Client, auras & interfaceClient 1.0.53-beta
  • Azurefall now supports running two or more client instances; the incorrect ‘already running’ restriction has been removed.
  • The aura collection received a broad visual and outfit-alignment pass, including cleaner layers, improved grounding and better placement on larger outfits.
  • The Shop button, action buttons, reward tooltips, bonuses panel and several outfit and mount presentation issues received additional polish.
Patch notes

A new Azurefall launcher is now required

Azurefall Launcher 1.2.0 is now the official Windows launcher. It connects to the current signed update channel, verifies the protected six-file client package before Play, keeps settings outside versioned game files and preserves verified download progress when an update is interrupted.

The old launcher cannot update itself to this release and no longer meets the minimum launcher version required by the current client. Download the new launcher from the Play page, close the old launcher, then open the new file and choose Install or Update. This is a one-time launcher replacement; normal client updates remain automatic afterward.

The new release also retains Repair for damaged or missing game files, safer update rollback and retention, strict signed-manifest and path validation, and a clean offline-ready state when an already verified current client is installed. It does not install or start a game server and does not remove player settings, maps or hotkeys.

The launcher and optional installer were published through the official Azurefall download host and verified again over public HTTPS. Windows may still show an unknown-publisher or reputation warning because the executable is not yet Authenticode-signed; never disable antivirus protection for a malware detection.

Patch notes

Quest repairs, updated maps and quality of life

The patch is installed and checked, but normal player access remains CLOSED while the owner finishes preparations. Please wait for a separate opening notice; this article is not an announcement that the server is open.

Further Banshee repairs cover the reported stairs and doors, seal progression, rewards and return handling. The five missing Deep Fibula quest rewards have been restored. The updated map includes the recovered town trainer-area edits and matching spawn positions, preserving the corrected Hydra spawn setting.

Further client mouse-targeting corrections cover character and self-tile item use. Celestial Sheep selection has also been corrected. Training Dummies no longer display their name or health bar, and a larger Shop button sits below Log Out while retaining the small shortcut.

Utamo Vita now stays active until toggled off during the session rather than expiring on its old timer. Recast it after logging in again. Perac sells the newly added ammunition. Vocation restrictions have been removed from the affected armour; other requirements, including level limits, remain in place.

Normal saving, startup, current-state preservation, health and encrypted-backup checks passed. Existing characters, equipment, conditions, balances, quests, earned claims and house contents are preserved. No player reset or old-world restoration was performed.

Patch notes

Equipment fixes, quest repairs and a new Blackcrag fortress

Equipment enchants no longer lose their bonuses solely because the carrier weapon belongs to another vocation. The weapon's normal wielding rules and the enchant's level requirement still apply. Equipment totals and actual enchant effects use the same eligibility rules.

World mouse targeting is corrected for mounted, invisible and state-changing creatures. Hold CTRL while right-clicking your own character to open the character menu. Targeted runes may be used on invisible monsters, while normal combat permissions, range and line-of-sight checks remain in place. Privileged ghosts are not exposed.

The POI oil-operated bridge now opens deterministically at its intended lever. Removing the Edron Yellow Parchment triggers its four-Demon encounter with safer landing and recovery handling. The Demona lever and Banshee Warlock encounter bindings are repaired, and the deeper Fibula door accepts its matching golden key. One unusually slow Hydra spawn now matches the normal surrounding spawn settings.

Blackcrag's old layout has been replaced by the owner's completed fortress, with three boss stages, encounters and connecting routes. Its existing level and reward bracket is retained. Sunken and Blackcrag earned stage rewards are delivered together in one personal envelope containing the earned stage bags; partial runs retain only rewards actually earned. Boss loot messages describe awarded loot rather than rolling extra rewards.

Modern spellbook magic-level bonuses and single-target ammunition definitions have been corrected and checked in the server engine. This does not add new shop stock, drop tables or item prices. The client includes updated jewellery artwork for the existing Emberwake pair and the new static autumn-and-winter login background.

Staff travel uses the approved higher GOD speed and ignores ground-speed penalties. Celestial Sheep is a separate GOD-only mount rather than a replacement appearance for another mount.

The beta restarted after a normal save. Startup, normal-save, current-state preservation and post-open health checks passed. Characters, equipment, conditions, balances, quests, earned claims and house contents are preserved. No player reset or old-world restoration was performed.

Please report any remaining issue with the character, item or location involved and what happened. The earlier whole-computer client freeze has not been conclusively diagnosed; this update is not a claim that every device-specific freeze is resolved.

Patch notes

Movement, classic water and animated wands

Click-to-walk responds faster when starting from standing still, without increasing normal walking speed. Please report any remaining movement issue with your location and what you were doing.

Classic water and matching shoreline borders now use a consistent appearance. Wands and rods use their correct modern artwork and working animations, with corrected display names and compatibility for their previous names. Existing combat stats are unchanged.

This update requires the matching client assets. Outdated clients receive a launcher-update message before entering the world, instead of receiving incompatible item data.

The beta server restarted after a normal save. Full-world startup, normal saving, health and current-state preservation checks passed. Current characters, equipment, conditions, balances, quests, earned claims and house contents are preserved. No player reset, map replacement or old-world restoration was included.

Patch notes

Spell cooldown corrections

Client spell categories and shared rune timers now match the server's attack, healing and support cooldown groups. Server cooldown expiry checks are corrected without adding an extra cross-group delay.

Offensive spells and runes retain their shared two-second group, while defensive spells use their existing one-second group. Potions block other potions and all runes for one second, not instant spells. Individual spell cooldowns still apply.

The beta server restarted after a normal save. Full-world startup, normal saving and current-state preservation checks passed. Current characters, equipment, conditions, balances, quests, earned claims and house contents are preserved. This update does not replace maps or artwork, reset players or restore an older world.

Patch notes

Pick-hole safety repairs

Picks and premium multi-tools now use the intended-hole rules instead of opening holes on ordinary dirt. Twenty-five verified hidden passages have been restored, with one blocked landing corrected. Unverified sites remain blocked rather than opening unsafe routes.

The original quest pressure-plate reset is repaired. This does not add manual hole closing: normal picked holes still follow their existing natural reset behavior.

The beta server restarted after a normal save. Full-world startup, normal saving and current-state preservation checks passed. Current characters, equipment, conditions, balances, quests, earned claims and house contents are preserved; no player reset or old-world restoration was included.

Patch notes

Enchant repairs

Corrected enchant activation, expiry and recovery handling across equipment changes and saved sessions. Fixed reserve restoration and repeated-attack cooldown handling, including Tempo, and corrected server handling of restricted item moves.

Current characters, equipment, conditions, balances, quests, earned claims and house contents are preserved. No reset, item grant, reroll or map replacement is included.

Target startup, normal saving and current-state preservation checks passed. Please report any remaining enchant issue with the item involved and what happened.

Patch notes

Equipment-focused Bonuses window

Client 1.0.41-beta is available through the official Azurefall launcher. The Bonuses & Buffs window now focuses on combined equipment stats and useful extra character information, rather than duplicating the global boosts already shown on screen.

The Global Events section and duplicate global regeneration rows, including their countdowns, have been removed from this window only. The normal on-screen boost display is unchanged. Equipment bonuses, non-global regeneration and temporary effects, enchant details and their relevant timers remain.

Focused checks and complete package-preservation checks passed. This is a display-only cleanup, not a change to enchant effects, their calculation or gameplay balance. The game server stayed online; player data, settings and artwork are unchanged. In-game appearance still needs player feedback.

Mountain passage, monster pursuit and player-reported repairs

Read it your way

Repaired the Port Hope–Ankrahmun mountain passage and coast, improved monster pursuit and dungeon progress messages, and shipped combat, spell, shop and client fixes. Client update: 1.0.33-beta.

Mountain passage & coastConnected scenery and supported paths

  • Corrected jungle-edge overpainting, unsupported legacy cliff remnants and the reported Banuta upper-layer area, retaining existing town services, housing and legitimate props.
Monsters & dungeonsPractical pursuit and clearer progress
  • Improved ordinary-monster acquisition at screen edges and pursuit so monsters can be lured, kited and grouped within legitimate encounter boundaries.
  • Adjusted dungeon pursuit without bypassing progression-locked packs, encounter recovery or required clear rules.

  • Further improved eligible Knight physical hits and damage and increased eligible Paladin physical damage, retaining existing PvP and mitigation rules.
  • Updated the ten basic wand/rod appearances using existing stock artwork, with small entry-tier damage adjustments.
Shops, protection & premiumClearer ownership and legitimate transactions

  • Beta Shop buys the ten basic wands/rods and offers the 50,000-gold classic blessing plus AoL-style protection bundle. This protection is a state, not a physical amulet.
  • Blessing purchases can use bank funds for the cash shortfall.
  • Added properly recorded staff-issued premium gifts so new legitimate premium scrolls can be redeemed by ordinary players. Existing unsigned scrolls are not automatically made valid; contact staff about those.
Client & movementSmoother interaction

Dungeon equipment, stronger attacks and quality-of-life fixes

Read it your way

Improved Knight and Paladin attacks, increased Dragon Lord equipment drops, new dungeon equipment and clearer reward previews. Client update: 1.0.30-beta.

Open a chapter for its player-facing changes. This page is deliberately concise rather than a full technical changelog.
Combat & lootStronger attacks and improved Dragon Lord loot
  • Knights have improved weaker normal melee hits against monsters, giving a modest overall damage increase without raising the maximum roll. Legitimate misses, blocks and immunity still apply.
  • Paladins deal increased positive physical damage with normal ranged attacks against monsters. Spell damage and PvP damage are unchanged.
  • Dragon Lords have increased chances to drop Tower Shield, Fire Sword, Royal Helmet, Dragon Scale Mail and Strange Helmet. Common loot is unchanged, and rare drops are not guaranteed.
Dungeon equipment & rewardsProgression, quivers and clearer previews
  • Updated dungeon equipment progression includes elemental melee weapons, wands, rods and bows across Sunken, Blackcrag and Emberwake.
  • Coloured ammunition quivers offer 4, 8, 12 or 16 stack slots depending on tier. Bow/quiver equipment and ammunition handling when swapping bows is improved; colour alone does not add damage.
  • The dungeon reward panel shows each dungeon's actual main equipment: jewellery where available, melee weapons, bows, wands, rods and quivers. Remaining equipment is available in the scrollable grid.
  • Removed the long reward-description hover text; reward icons now show brief item-name tooltips.
  • Loot-display colours are aligned with actual rarity tiers. Rarity-drop boosting is available through the existing global boost system, adjusting eligible rarity occurrence rather than tier or enchantment strength.
Gameplay & client improvementsTraining, inventory, trade and travel
  • Training dummies return regular zero-damage hits for shielding practice.
  • Refined mana/UH and item-use exhaustion handling avoids unnecessarily blocking unrelated inventory/container actions. Intended healing and combat cooldowns remain.
  • Improved full-backpack rejection handling preserves open and collapsed container windows. Targeting-cursor behaviour over inventory and container controls is adjusted.
  • Beta Shop buys both Blue and Green Djinn buy lists at the corresponding prices, without their quest access at Beta Shop. Original Djinn NPC access requirements remain.
  • Removed the unintended level-75 restriction from paid scarab-coin transport. Payment requirements and separate quest level requirements remain.
  • Improved short login-request burst handling while retaining flood protection; this does not claim to resolve every disconnect cause.
  • Corrected two blocking shoreline corner tiles and included seven small map-object corrections from the saved editor changes.

Combat, quest repairs and a smoother client

Read it your way

Stronger knight PvE attacks, clearer rune counts, targeted quest repairs and approved outfit cleanup. Includes the final spell-mana correction. Client update: 1.0.28-beta.

Open a chapter for its player-facing changes. This page is deliberately concise rather than a full technical changelog.
Knights & spellsPvE tuning and final mana costs
  • Knight and Elite Knight normal sword, axe and club attacks are stronger against monsters, with improved penetration of monster defence. PvP damage is unchanged; attacks can still miss or be blocked.
  • Exori costs a fixed 150 mana. Exori hur costs 30 mana. Exori con remains unchanged at 25 mana, and exura ico has been restored to its original 40 mana.

Combat & lootMonster positioning, rune supply and Forge materials
  • Less excessive monster dancing in close combat. Normal chasing, ranged positioning and fleeing remain intact.
  • Rune hotkeys count physical runes correctly across nested backpacks and mixed remaining charges. Last-rune messages reflect your actual supply.
  • Naturally dropped Forge materials are normal corpse loot. Drop rates and quantities are unchanged; boss and completion rewards retain their existing delivery.
Targeted quest repairsRewards, gates and travel
  • Repaired missing Dragon Lance, Vampire Shield, Behemoth and Demona quest-reward interactions. Previous quest claims are preserved.
  • Fixed Banshee prerequisite doors, shared gates and trap access.
  • Ancient Tombs earned admission is retained if reward delivery fails. Incorrect looping portals and Ashmunrah’s return exit have been corrected.
  • Promoted vocations work on Desert Quest plates, with blocked landings checked before travel.
  • Fixed Draconia’s token exit and Postman rank-five special-door access.
  • Restored the Holy Tible reward, shrine crossings and blood use at Goshnar’s grave. These are entrance repairs only, not the full Pits of Inferno quest release.
Client & stabilityGuild chat, outfits and clean shutdowns
  • Fixed Local Chat being redirected into guild chat, plus guild-channel naming and reopening.
  • Cleaner outfit walking: steadier Mage eyes, hair and hats, improved Barbarian hair movement and Warrior leg motion.
  • Fixed a server shutdown crash, with clean saves and restarts verified.
Website update

Cleaner creature pages, more room for discovery

Creature pages now show damage resistances and immunities in a compact grid. Loot is directly visible in rarity order, from Very common to Insanely rare, without expandable sections.

Spawn coordinates have been removed from the public creature data. Explore the world to find your hunting grounds; selected encounters retain general region hints.

Website fix

Creature pages now open reliably

Creature cards now open their matching detail pages through standard page navigation, fixing the click error on the published website. A View details link makes each card’s destination clear.

Health and experience are shown on individual creature pages alongside damage resistances, locations and grouped loot. The directory retains name search and encounter filters.

Website update

Meet the creatures of Azurefall

Open Library → Creatures to search by name, filter encounters or sort by health and experience. The directory covers verified live map spawns, active world bosses, dungeon encounters and reachable summons; unused creature definitions are excluded.

Each creature page brings together its appearance, health, base experience, damage resistances, locations and available loot. Dungeon pages link to completion rewards, while personal boss rewards show their Reward Chest destination.

Loot uses seven clear categories from Very common to Insanely rare. Exceptional Forge quality variants are shown separately, without publishing exact drop percentages or odds.

Website update

A clearer guide to Azurefall

The homepage now highlights Liberty Bay, the Forge and all three available dungeons. The dungeon guide includes Emberwake Anchorage, recommended levels, daily attempts and possible reward types.

Support now explains healing hotkeys while turning with Ctrl and the details that help us investigate disconnects and combat reports. Outdated beta-duration and download-size estimates have been removed.

This is a website-only update. It does not change combat, loot, account access or payments, and no client update is required. Test accounts and characters will still be wiped after beta.

Game update

Enchants and Blackcrag Bastion are live

Blackcrag Bastion is a new dungeon recommended for levels 45–65, playable solo or with up to four companions. Clear both wings and the command guard before facing Marshal Drazek. Rewards include permanent elemental melee weapons, caster equipment and a six-stack quiver.

Sunken Reliquary remains the earlier route at recommended levels 35–50. Its separate personal reward rolls include Moonpearl jewellery and the four-stack Sunken hunter’s quiver. Both dungeon guides now explain entry, safe defeat, attempts and loot routing.

The Enchants tab lists all 70 families with searchable effects, equipment requirements and rank ranges. Read an item’s in-game Look description for its actual roll. Combat equipment and enchant progression are earned in-game.

The game update also includes reward-chest and trainer placements, minimap floor controls, hotkey item-selection safeguards and three-square targeting for exori flam, vis and mort. No new aura changes are part of this release.

Public beta

Azurefall’s public beta is open

Our first public beta is now open. Create an account and character on the website, download the official launcher and join us in Rookgaard. No payment or email verification is needed to play.

Azurefall is a Non-PvP server built around classic Tibia combat, with a few modern quality-of-life improvements. The focus is hunting: finding a good spot, taking on tougher monsters and caring about what they drop.

We want loot to matter. That means useful everyday finds, long-term goals and genuinely rare drops worth looking forward to—not just replacing your equipment every few levels.

We also want Azurefall to be community-driven. Your feedback and ideas will help shape the balance, systems and direction of the server. This first test is a chance to see what feels good, what needs work and what we should build on together.

The test is planned to run for roughly one to two weeks. Come try the game, hunt, trade and tell us what you think on Discord. Expect bugs and balance changes; all test accounts and characters will be wiped afterward.

Testing

What to expect while testing

Help us find bugs and test gameplay. Hunting Ledger rewards and shop prices are still provisional; real-money purchases are not enabled.
